TLDSB students compete at the Skills Canada National Competition in Winnipeg

From May 25 to 26, two Trillium Lakelands District School Board (TLDSB) students travelled to Winnipeg, Manitoba, to compete in the Skills Canada National Competition, as members of Team Ontario. These students had previously qualified for the national event at the Skills Ontario Provincial Competition on May 1 to 3.

Gravenhurst High School student Jocelyn Aldom competed in the job skills competition and received a bronze medal. Huntsville High School student Wil Sinclair competed in the electrical competition and received a gold medal.

Two TLDSB grad students were also at the event to compete in the post-secondary competitions! Huntsville High School grad, Biagio Iannantuono, competed in the electrical competition and received a bronze medal, and Bracebridge and Muskoka Lakes Secondary School grad, Emma Chilton, competed in the aerospace technology competition and also received a bronze medal.
