Our flag will fly at half-mast from late Friday, November 6, to the beginning of the day on Monday, November 8. This is to recognize the contributions of Indigenous Veterans in the many wars that Canada has participated. As noted on the Canadian Veterans website, Canada’s Indigenous Veterans faced many unique challenges when serving. After the war, Indigenous Veterans were not recognized for their accomplishments.
