Locks for Lockers

I would encourage all students to have a lock for their locker.  There are a variety of different locks that can be used: everything from the old-school combination lock to locks with combinations using letters.  If using a lock with a key, I would highly recommend giving a spare key to the homeroom teacher.  Students do lose keys for locks and the only way to open the lock (if no key is available) is to cut it off.  Also, if a lock is jammed or the student has forgotten the combination, our only way to open the lock is to cut it off.  Lock combinations do need to be given to the homeroom teacher.
