I wanted to take a moment to thank our school community for the success of our Kindness Community Day last Wednesday, October 15. MAD Crew students did a fantastic job organizing the activities at each of their stations. Some of the stations required quite a few pieces of equipment to run, and the MAD Crew members looked after all of that. As well, they had to explain the rules for their station and keep younger students on track. Other than nutrition breaks and recesses, they were at their station for the entire day. Grade 8 students led each of the teams as they rotated through the stations, and they, too, did a wonderful job. Many were as engaged in these activities as our younger students. Our younger students (which were the largest part of each group) were enthusiastic participants throughout the day. While Ms. Nelles will likely say that the MAD Crew members did all the work, she was the overall architect of the day and ensured that all the pieces were taken care of.
