My first full year back at RHPS! As always, it is hard to believe that the year’s end is here. It has been a year jam-packed with activities. From the Terry Fox Run, our first big event of the year, to the Festive Dinner (in the middle of the year), to year-end trips and Hoops for Hope to wrap up the year – there always seems to be something happening! The level of student involvement is what makes these activities and events a success. Staff and our Parent Council can organize all of the events they wish. Without active student engagement, none of these events will be a success.
I definitely appreciate the friendliness of our student community. Some of the best parts of my day are before the school day starts, nutrition breaks and recesses, and bus arrival. Why? Because of the opportunity to chat with our students. RHPS Community, you need to know that the overall level of politeness of your kids is amazing! I get to find out a little bit of everything from the afterschool activities in which they are involved to how big of a tractor they are using on their farms (the amount of information our students have is incredible).
On behalf of students, staff, and families, I wish our grade 8s well as they head off to grade 9. How exciting it is for you to continue your educational endeavors! You will be missed.
I hope our entire RHPS Community has a wonderful summer with time for making family memories. One of my goals this summer? Reading as much possible! By now, you probably are well aware that reading is one of my favourite hobbies, and I have a number of books piled and ready to be read.
Looking forward to seeing everyone back on Wednesday, September 3.
