A shout out to Ms. Nelles and a large number of grades 7 and 8 students who participated in a skills building activity with hand tools and wood to create a small version of a framed house out of wood. Organized by Ms. Nelles, students (in groups of 4) worked during nutrition breaks and recesses to build their framed houses. The most skilled group will be moving on to a competition at IE Weldon involving other grade 7 and 8 teams from other local schools. The spatial ability and talents of our students are always impressive; it is Mr. Parish writing this post, and I am definitely limited in both those areas!).
