This Monday, April 22, RHPS recognizes Earth Day. Ms. Wright and Ms. McGarry have organized a variety of stations (activities) for students in which to participate. Part of the goal for the day is to build school community and students will be organized in mixed groups including students in grades 4 to 8. Some of the activities in which students will be involved include creating recycled art, learning about pollinators and seeds, working on a land acknowledgment and cleaning up our school yard at the day’s end. Staff are excited for the day! Please keep an eye on the weather and dress accordingly. It would be a good idea to dress in layers and have an extra sweater/change of pants (as required). At this point, the weather looks a little cooler for Monday, so students will want to dress warmly. If it is a rainy day, we will communicate the “rain date” to the community.
