Thank you to our Parent Council for their support in arranging an Activities Block opportunity for our Rams as we prepare to head into the March Break.
A Permission Click has been sent out for you to sign your child(ren) up for an activity and give permission for them to do so. If you do not receive the Permission Click within a day, please reach out to the RHPS office at 705-277-9515.
Please fill this form out as soon as possible. Organizing almost 300 students requires significant time. The sooner all of the permission forms are completed, the more quickly (and easily) we can get this organized. Please complete this form even if your child won’t be participating (i.e., your child will be away that day).
Due to ice availability and our school schedule, this Activities Block will take place on two days.
Here is the schedule and options (students will choose 1 of the 3 options for the block):
Monday, March 3 – 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm – Grades 4 & 5 Movie (movie tbd), Games Room (students bring their own board games), or Skating at the Manvers Arena
Friday, March 7 – 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm – Grades 6 to 8 – Movie (movie tbd), Games Room (students bring their own board games), or Skating at the Manvers Arena
We hope that we have some parents (with an up to date police record and vulnerable sector check) that would be able to help with both skating on the ice and helping to tie skates. Even if you are unable to skate on the ice, your help in tying skates would be appreciated! Please note: we do require volunteers to help walk students over to the rink and at the rink to meet supervision ratios; without enough volunteers, this activity will have to be cancelled. Also, depending on how many kids sign up for the art activity or the games room, we may need parents to volunteer to help supervise there, as well.
If you are able to help, please note this in the PermissionClick form you will receive.
Note: students participating in the skating option MUST wear a CSA approved ice hockey helmet. Helmets such as snowboard helmets, or bicycle helmets are not acceptable.
