RHPS will recognize Remembrance Day on Wednesday, November 11. Our ceremony will generally follow the traditional ceremony conducted at cenotaphs on this day.
The ceremony will take place during the 1st Block. The precise start time has not been determined; once it has, this information will be communicated to our school community. Family members of students are welcome to attend. Our Rams will observe the 2 minutes of silence at 11:00 am.
All students will receive a poppy prior to our Remembrance Day Ceremony on Wednesday, November 11. Traditionally, we ask for a small donation which is collected on behalf of the Royal Canadian Legion (who provides us with the poppies). Students normally donate a loonie or toonie for the poppy. All of this money is then given directly to the Legion. We recognize that not all families may be able to make this donation. This is an “ask” and not a demand. Our goal is usually to raise roughly the equivalent amount of money as there are students in our school (which is currently 337).
