Due to the Holiday Break Dance not happening because of it being an inclement weather day, the Grade 8s have organized a Valentine’s Dance for next Friday, February 13. Grades 4 and 5 have their dance during the Middle Block (11:50 to 1:30 – but their dance usually does not start until later in the block), and the Grades 6 to 8 students have their dance in the Third Block (2:10 to 3:30).
Pop and chips will be available for purchase. Each item is $2. If my memory is good, the profits from the dance go towards defraying some of the Grade 8 Year End Trip’s cost.
Now, for those who have Triskaidekaphobia (fear of the number 13) that might not be a great thing; however, the number 13 is my favourite number. It is the number that I chose for my son’s jerseys until he was old enough to overrule my choice and go with 27 (which I was secretly okay with, since that was Darryl Sitler’s # – my favourite player when I was a kid).
